A Grateful Church vv.22-24

Acts 2:46-47 “And day by day, attending the temple together and breaking bread in their homes, they received their food with glad and generous hearts, 47 praising God and having favor with all the people. And the Lord added to their number day by day those who were being saved.”

A Gathering Church vv.25-26

• Gathering for fellowship (How important do you believe fellowship is for a church body experiencing persecution?)
• Gathering to be spiritually fed

Acts 2:42 “And they devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and the fellowship, to the breaking of bread and the prayers.”

Hebrews 10:24-25 “24 And let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works, 25 not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another, and all the more as you see the Day drawing near.”

Don’t allow Satan to paralyze you.  He doesn’t want you to be fed spiritually, he doesn’t want you to grow or have Christian accountability!  He wants you to stay busy, and display that Christ is not the priority in your household!  Develop these patterns and you’ll see Judges 2:10 “And all that generation also were gathered to their fathers. And there arose another generation after them who did not know the Lord or the work that he had done for Israel.”

We are a gathering church.   

A Generous Church vv.29-30

• See the gravity of verses 29-30! These were Gentiles, formally and probably still disliked by the Jewish Christians, who saw the Kingdom mindset to help the Jewish church and come to their aid!
